Adios Twenty Ten

This year has been yet another amazing year for Cracked Designs! We've had the opportunity to work lots of new brides, as well as lots of new stores all over the country. And of course, in May we welcomed the newest member of CD, Beckett! In a few years, I have no doubt that he will be helpin' us out with new card ideas.

Along with the new year comes NEW cards! Hooray! We just added a couple on our Etsy shop this week, but be prepared for lots more coming soon! Happy 2011, and thanks to everyone who supports CD!

I was super happy with how our Christmas cards came out this year. I found this awesome wood grain paper that I printed them on. I am way into wood grain anything these days!

Retro Whale=Amazing

Holy frack, these might be the most awesome coasters & prints ever! I stumbled across the shop, Retro Whale from LA today, and I instantly fell in love. They have coasters & prints with your favorite movies, bands, writers, directors & just cool illustrations. The illustrations are so witty & perfect. Anyone out there getting me a present? Ok, we'll go

We just saw Okgo for like the 100th time, and it sure does bring us back, way back, to our early college days in the Windy City. (Yes, we loved them before the treadmills...) I love how innovative they are with their live shows, as well as their videos, duh. I want to live in their paisley filled dream world.

Blue Ribbon

We checked out HoverCraft this past Sunday, and it was awesome! It was so great to see so many cool vendors from Milwaukee. I picked up a bunch of goodies, but my favorite has to be this plush Pabst bottle made by Sarah Jane Harper. Along with this totally rad bottle were Pabst cans, tree branches and logs. I love how the Pabst cans & bottles had perfect imperfections, I wanted to buy them all! Beckett loves hugging his new Pabst bottle, which makes his mom & dad very happy....is that weird? Anyways, Sarah Jane doesn't have an Etsy shop quite yet, but you can check out her blog here.

6 months later

It seems like just yesterday that I was on maternity leave, and now Beckett is already 6 months old! He's grown accustomed to helping me make cards while sitting on my lap. It's starting to get tricky...

Out with the old, In with the new

Cracked Designs has been growing rapidly throughout the 3+ years we've been goin' at it. So we figured it was high time to re-do our logo and overall brand. We've been working hard to create some new branding, and here's a glimpse of what we're thinking about...

Beckett's Baby Stationery

I've been loving being able to design stationery for all the events so far in Beckett's life. Since I'm not a big cutsie baby animals person, it's been great creating the perfect blend of modern, yet baby friendly designs. Renegade Chicago

Holy frack do I love the Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago! I've been apart of it for the past 2 years, but since this is the 'year of the baby', I unfortunately won't be able to participate this year. I'm starting to get really sad about it since every year so many awesome vendors come out of the woodwork, and I love seeing all the cool stuff. It looks like it will be another great year, with some of my favorites like, Gnome Enterprises, Dude and Chick, and La Familia Green to just name a few. I hope to be back out on the craft fair scene next year!

For the cool babies

I just found this cool shop on Etsy, Apericots, that has tons of totally awesome baby onesies. Now that I'm in full mom swing, I love dressing Beckett in cool onesies versus the boring everyday Carter's onesies.
